These macarons ($2 each, from 1 Caramel at Rochester Park) are one of the cases where look deceives. Half of these macarons had the texture like meringue, sugary hard and crispy. Not that I dislike meringue but when I buy macarons, I expect to get macarons, not meringue in the shape of macarons. For happy experience with macarons, I will just stick to Gourmet Carousel. Canele, Hediard, Java Detour are good too.
