A hearty conversation, a bar of milk chocolate, a jar of assorted cookies, an adorably decorated room, a good book, a romantic movie, a charming companion, a peaceful solitude, a shopping spree, a warm cozy day...a thousand little moments and things that make up a life.

All in a Work Day
Lunch: Thai Express
Tom Yum Hor Fun($10.90)
Curry Soft Shell Crab ($10.90) and Tom Yum Hor Fun, all nicely packed.
Dinner: New York New York
The dessert is the highlight of the dinner. Mud pie ($8.90); chocolatey sinful, rich, creamy and kinda heavy, weighing me down with satisfaction.
Devil's Fish N Chip ($15.90). Don't be chickened out. Just normal fish and chip with the fish sprinkled with chilli (or is it red paprica or does it even matter, anyway) powder. I could hardly taste the chilli. The sweet and sour sauce, the kind that was normally served as dipping sauce for spring roll at Thai food eateries, was good although its presentation in this sort of western dish was kind of out of place, or unique, depending on how you put it. I was more on the latter though. It added color and flavor to the fish which apparently its devil chili friend couldn't quite make it.
Prices above exclude applicable taxes.

The foods were good. I especially liked my soft shell crab with black pepper linguine. The heat from the pepper was just nice to balance the saltiness that came from the cheese. The crab cakes in the appetizer were just so-so, making the picante the highlight of the dish.
Jingle Berry ($8.90)
Grand Choco Bloom ($8.50)
Crunchy Crab Black Pepper Linguine ($14.90)
Tropical Crab Cakes Picante ($9.90)
Smoked Salmon Garlic Cream Linguine ($13.50)

Tsukiji Gindaco's Teri Tama (4pcs, $3.60), the best among those I have tried so far. As far as I know, the stall can be found at Raffles City Market and ION Orchard. I bought mine at Raffles City.
Gong Cha's plum green tea with black pearl ($2.50 for the tea, $0.30 to add pearl). A tad expensive compared to its peers but is well worth it.

Kenny Rogers Roasters @ Suntec City
Baked Fish, came with two sides($17.90)
BBQ Chicken Pita, also came with two sides ($13.90)
My friend and I both happened to choose the same sides, which were mac&cheese and corn nibblets. The portion of the main dishes was big and we had to pack home the sides.
Coke ($2.80)
Iced Tea ($2.80)
The famed corn muffin, tasty as always.

Don't come here if you are not looking for disappointment. The mango with pearl and grass jelly that I had was a disappointment. How the hell could there be a big chunk on ice on the soup? And lychee pearl drink that I had, the pearls were not those chewy type that they normally were. The ones that I had tasted, some chewy some hard.

Taartarchitect in Rotterdam
I happened to come across this shop on my way to my lodging when I was in Rotterdam. The shop sells small cakes for takeaway in addition to catering to orders. The cakes that I tried were nice and the price was friendly to the pocket. If I go to Rotterdam again, I will definitely try their other creations.
