Jams Chocolate Cake ($5.80), smelt and tasted like oven-less chocolate cake that I used to make.. Nice, because it tasted nostalgic.
Fresh Berries Shortcake ($5.80), looked very cute didn't it? It tasted good too. Too bad phototaking is not allowed (I don't know why), if yes, I would have taken the cake display, which was actually not much of a show but still, worth showing. By the way, they also serve cupcakes though they have only four flavors. But the main reason I, despite a big fan of cupcakes, didn't buy them was because they are very costly ($4.20). Maybe next time...

Cache Cache is having sale so I snapped one smart casual top at $8.40 after 70% discount. Bought a couple pairs of lingerie at Skyla too.
I alighted at Commonwealth MRT Station then took 105 to the bus stop opposite British Council. From there I walked and snapped photos all the way to Orchard Road. I have always wanted to do this ever since I walked this way quite often recently. It was freaking hot that afternoon and I could feel my skin get burned. Anyway here are some of the photos.

YakiYakiBo @ Jurong Point

Beef Roll ($6.90). The presentation this time was not as nice as the previous time I ordered. The beef was slightly overcooked nevertheless it was okay overally.
Seafood Yakisoba ($11.90), not bad for a light dinner but don't expect too much from it.

Desserts at Bakerzin

Jivara Tart ($5.50), one of Bakerzin's new cake collection. I thought I would not be surprised by Jivara anymore since I have had it quite often (in the form of cakes and chocolates) but this tart is really a winner. It amazed me for having a taste so good.
Strawberry Shortcake ($6.50). One the best I have ever tried!

Chocolate Etoile ($6.50), also new item from Bakerzin, tasted ok but not impressive. Check their website for monthly promotion.

A Day in Orchard Road

The order of the photos in this post should actually be the other way round.
The Body Shop Moringa Body Scrub ($29.90). I used my 1x birthday privilege (20% discount) for only this product. It seems like a waste but since now I rarely shops there, I feel ok. Anyway as of now body scrub is all that I need.

I was accompanying my friend to buy tickets at Cineleisure when I found the stall selling these tops. One piece was priced at $20,but if you buy two pieces, it costs you $30 instead. And that's how I ended up buying two instead of one. Not that I didn't like their design though. Just that I tried not to pile up my belongings in my room.
Marvelous Cream's Uji Green Tea Strawberry Daifuku Mochi (behind) and Belgium Chocolate and Cacao Truffle, both priced at $3 each. Not bad, if you don't mind the sky-high price. They need to be kept in the fridge, which is a new thing for me because so far all the waffles that I have eaten were served warm.
Found this shop (I think it's manicure-pedicure shop) at Mandarin Gallery.

Lunch promotion (two-course set lunch at $29 or three-course at $39, subjected to service charge and GST)
My friend and I chose the three-course one.
Dessert: My friend ordered 'selection of homemade ice cream or sherbet'

while I chose 'baked fruit tart, tahitian vanilla ice cream'.
Main course: I ordered 'rotisserie chicken, parsley-mashed potato, market vegetable, mustard)
and my friend 'deep fried guramme, soy sauce, vegetables, garlic rice'.
Our appetizers are 'crispy bean curd, chicken, mayonnaise' and 'deep fried prawn dumpling, sweet and sour sauce'. Both are nice.



For a three-course menu at that price in a nice restaurant inside a 5-star hotel, this meal is worth it. I saw a selection of cakes too so I will come back again to try. I want to try afternoon tea at Scotts Lounge (also inside the hotel) too, the time I went there it was priced at $28 from 2-5 pm.

Dunkin' Donuts @ ION Orchard

$7 for half a dozen. I first came to know Dunkin' Donuts when I was in primary 3. They were already there in my hometown for very long. Their donuts were nice although I still prefer J.Co more. J.Co's donuts have softer texture and are more chewy and moist. Anyway I would say they are two different kinds of donuts.

Bengawan Solo

I didn't have my pocket digicam or DSLR with me so I have to make use of my mobile phone camera which produces photos of mediocre quality. Anyway here are some snacks from Bengawan Solo. Cakes in these photos have prices range from 70 cents to 1 dollar per piece.
